How do you do this to a strict parent?

I really really REALLY want a pet bird but my mom doesn't want me to get one. What should i say to get her to let me get one?How do you do this to a strict parent?
It's not what you should say, it's how you should act...with responsibility...taking care of the things you are supposed to take care of without being told to do so.How do you do this to a strict parent?
Give her an example of how you have been responsible in the past. I'm sure her concern is who is going to take care of it. This is a credibility issure. Do you have credibility?

dime, because i wouldn't contribute a single one to that load of c r a p!If your child majored in Pece Studies at college would you feel you failed as a parent?
I told my children two things when it came to their future.

I don't care what profession or job you decide to do, as long as you harm no one in the process. Just strive to do the best job you can do.

Any degree is good. Many people who get degrees do not use the degree in the real world. Many jobs that ask for a degree do not really care what the degree is in, only that the person had the personal fortitude to get through it.

I have a BA in Business Administration, I have never sat at a desk, I learned very quickly that kind of work bores the hell out of me. My older brother has a masters in History and has never used it.

    I am a teacher

My older brother works as a buyer for a high tech firm.

My youngest brother never spent a day of his life in college and owns a multi million dollar business.

    Peace

    Jim

    .
If you learn something at college, but that knowledge isn't actually useful in a practical way, then give ME that 50 thousand bucks or however much it is, and I'll teach you how to suck an egg.
you havent failed until your child joins a gang, shoots up your neighbors house because he couldnt pay his weed debt, and then ends up in prison for the murder of a kid walking home from school.

just be glad your kid is going to school rather than him/her running the streets making pornos at parties and sucking wang for some rock
With all the hate and war in this world your child has the crictical thinking that he knows peace is the only way.
Whats your problem? As long as your kid is happy you should be happy, just be glad they actually bother studying. wtf.
    You failed at spelling.

Baseball Parent Question: How does a 7 year old batter get a faster bat speed?

Is it a lighter bat or the pitch coming faster at them?Baseball Parent Question: How does a 7 year old batter get a faster bat speed?
Bat speed is something that comes from several factors. Bat size, bat shape (thinner handles are easier to swing), strength. Lots of stuff. Back in the old days we would swing two bats while warming up to create the illusion that your bat is lighter. Donuts serve that purpose today.

HOWEVER, it is not something you should be concerned with at this time. If you want your kid to be a better hitter, teach him how to HIT. By that I mean, hand eye coordination, keeping his eye on the ball, recogninze the strike zone...things that are basic skills. Having a young kid mess around with extra bat weight etc. is a formula for injury to a young arm. Bat speed will come as he becomes a better hitter and becomes stronger. And the chances of injury while he's learning the fundamentals will be decreased.

Dont worry. He's got time. Scott Boras will be waiting for him when he's 18.Baseball Parent Question: How does a 7 year old batter get a faster bat speed?
Have him use a lighter bat, hold his hands apart Ty Cobb style and keep the bat level (not up) in his stance.

A 7 year old doesnt really need lightning bat speed, let him have fun and learn sportsmanship.
Have him swing with a donut weight before he goes up. It increases it. Or just make him work out.
by a donut. not a literal donut but a its a weight that goes on the bat and swing everday s couple of times and before he bats.
as a player who knows things now that I'm older you do not want your son to go out and practice swinging with a heavy bat because you want him to have a quicker bat speed. If you do buy him a donut weight dont let him swing it and work out with it because it will actually hurt his wrist and forarms he should only use it before he goes up to bat to warm up not to work out with. You must wait until he is older to worry about bat speed and when he is older he can actually work at it without hurting himself if you push it on him now he will hurt his wrist and will hurt his forarms. His forarms will dictate where he is at physically for size of bats. for now to increase his bat speed without injurying himself just give him a lighter bat.
I wouldn't worry too much about that right now, he's 7.
It may be a combintion of both. If you use a lighter bat it can help his bat speed, have him hold his bat with his knock knock knuckles lined up. It may feel different to him at first but it will help him swing the bat better and faster. As for the speed of the pitches,it will always help for someone to practice with him by throwing pitches to him. If you can not take him to the local batting cages. Most will have machines with adjustable speeds. In my expierence most seven year ols will not throw much harder than 25-30 miles per hour.
At only 7 I wouldn't make a big deal of it, tell him to choke up on the bat.
At 7 years of age, don't be concerned about bat speed. That will develop with age and natural strength. As he grows and gets stronger, he can do weight training ( appropriate for his age level), practice swinging weighted bats to strengthen his arms and wrists, and use a lighter bat during actual games.

A parent lost parental rights when kids were young-now kids are older can they request court to go back to m&d?

Can the children petition the courts to be moved back with natural parents? Age...13?

parents have still been involved with children since termination of rights. Children are unhappy with their guardian and have been wanting to go home for 5yr.

Being of the age of 13-woldn't the courts listen to them? A parent lost parental rights when kids were young-now kids are older can they request court to go back to m%26amp;d?
The parents can petition the court, and request that the judge speak to the children. The parents would have to show substantial changes in circumstances to get their rights back, as it is usually an extreme circumstance that results in their rights being terminated. The parents may have to start out with visitation and a secondary custody situation, then later petition for full custody when they have been proved fit.

Can you inherit dual citizenship from a step parent for the EU?

This might be a long shot, but is it possible to inherit dual citizenship from a step parent who was born in the European Union? If not, does it provide any sort of benefit? Can you inherit dual citizenship from a step parent for the EU?
which EU countries was your step parent born inCan you inherit dual citizenship from a step parent for the EU?
don't think so. the only inheritance i know of, sort of, is when your parents become citizens, you are a minor %26amp; their citizenship extends to you. or you are born here, like rights of birthplace, etc. the only inheritted benefit is what your step-parent did for you but they earned their dual citizenship, not you! sorry.
Each EU country has its own criteria for citizenship.

Do I take my child with me to parent / teacher conference?

I know this may sound silly, but I have my first kindergartner %26amp; her first parent / teacher conference is next week. I am not sure if I am suppose to take her with me or find someone to watch her. Any advice? Maybe from a teacher or experienced mom? Thank you!Do I take my child with me to parent / teacher conference?
At my daughter's school they want the children to attend the parent/teacher conferences.

It should say on the form that was given to you from the teacher about the parent/teacher conference if no children are allowed.

I know some schools do not want them to attend.

Or call the school (you don't even have to speak with the teacher) and ask them if children are allowed to come.Do I take my child with me to parent / teacher conference?
Some parents do, some parents don't. It depends on your teacher. I prefer not to have the children there because it's easier to discuss concerns. However, having the child there means you can brainstorm with the child and they can help come up with ideas to solve problems. Check with other parents in your district and talk to your child's teacher about it.
I have been a single Dad since my daughter started school. She is now 11, and I have been to every one of her conferences. It helps the child think she/he is a part of the process.
My mom did after my dad passed away. I really liked it. It is good to know first hand what your teacher says, but I was a little older. I was ten. I could handle it if my teacher said I was having problems. Most of them always said the same thing though. Very smart, mind like a sponge, just needs to focus more, complete tasks on time etc. What if what a teacher has to say about your child is not quite that pleasant? Are you prepared to deal with that?
My school expects the child to be there. We are moving towards student lead conferences. If we have concerns that we don't want to discuss with the child there, we make another appointment. It really varies, though, so the best thing to do would be to phone or email the school to check.
