Did your parent ask you to marry your own ethnic group people?

When I was study at US, my mother was so concern that I night end up married a American. That what I have been told by my brother.Did your parent ask you to marry your own ethnic group people?
my older brother married with same ethnic. my older sister married to Malay. my 2nd brother married to an Indonesian.... and my sister will.... with canadian...

my mom doesnt care...

me, maybe married to an alien...lol...

*so dk, how do you know the meaning of alien?hehehe...Did your parent ask you to marry your own ethnic group people?
if only Clark Kent has handsome cousin/brother.
The reason your mother is telling you to get married,with

your own ethnic group, is they understand your culture and it it easy for her to blend in your family. She is worried that you might get married with some other person in the USA, who has no knowledge of your religion or culture, and it might be difficult for her to blend in the society.
Yup my older uncles were pressuring me because all of their kids married outside.
No. Not that I would have paid the slightest attention; it is, after all, my decision.
Nope. They're leaving it up to me. ;-)
she advise me to married other races if possible,marry your own ethnic @ races will get you a not very brilliant child,i think its true..b'cos i born in a mix family + im a bright student at school..no joking...
No. They were more concern on the fact that my sister Twiggy and i was extremely not into relationships and marriage. Finally the day i married my husband, i could see the relieved look on my parents.

Ethnic background was never an issue.
I will marry whoever i like, it's my life (Bon Jovi). Anyway Yaya, i'm Clark Kent's brother, Mad Kent @ Mad Cow.
My mother ask me to marry Jessica Alba
nope my grandma wanted me to marry a white woman because my uncles did and they're children are beautiful (debatable).
nope, they want me to marry for happiness. they don't give a crap about race.
They asked me that, yes... My mom told me: ';son, you are allowed to choose your wife by yourself (wow!!!), I will not choose for you (who asked you to, anyway???), but make sure you make a wise choice. You know, women from other cultures don't understand our culture properly. Make sure you marry a wife who will be able to understand you.';

I didn't listen, I did what I thought is right. Does it make me a bad boy?

Ginduras, good luck with your alien bride! =)
My dad doesn't care, my mom wanted to me marry any one who wasn't mexican, and WE ARE Mexicans! but as it turns out i'm going to marry a Hindu. So my mom was happy! As for my dad he was like ';you are going to marry the man of your dreams, not me';
