A parent commiting suicide is so painful for any one or child . Its a loss and we were suppose to have 2 parents. Any loss like that will affect a child in many ways, insecurity, low self esteem , anger at not having that parent around etc. there is a place to heal memories as such. My father commited suicide when I was 15. I have to tell you, every single person is affected by such a thing in very different ways. For example, my sister, who was 7 at the time, has since been very clingy to older males. She is always looking to them as role modles.
