Does a parent have to go with me to take my permit test?

Tomorrow i'm going to take my permit test. I live in California. Both of my parents work. My brother, who is 19 and licensed, will be taking me.Does a parent have to go with me to take my permit test?

being taken there by your licensed brother is perfectly fine as long as he is the one driving. if you're the one driving, then someone 25 or older needs to be with you.





EDIT: the other answerer might be right. if your brother can't legally sign for you then maybe you need a parent there.
I don't know about California laws, but i'm pretty sure unless you're 18 you have to have a legal parent or guardian go with you. I don't think your brother qualifies.
Yeah i dont remember y tho. the first time i went i couldnt do it cuz my dad wasnt wit me but i we went back and got everything settled. i think he had ta supply his id and some other stuff. idk but yeah u got have a parent.
No when I went to get mine they barely used my parents you just need the information like social security and things like that.

I don't think so. You have to go with a driver. Your brother would qualify. In some cases, a driving instructor accompanies his/her students to the test.
I think so. Mine just had to fill out the paperwork for me, and if I didn't pass, anyone could take me the next time I went as long as I had all the same paperwork a guardian filled out.
I did mine by myself.
