to beat myself up. How can I turn a negative into a positive when I am so anxious on their failure.?How does a parent distance themselves from their children's mistakes and not blame themselves? I'm always one?
Your children have their own brains. You don't control everything they do. If they did something stupid, then they didn't do it because of anything that you did or didn't do. They did it because they wanted to. And chances are, they KNEW it was stupid. All you can do is be there for them, if you choose to.
