What should a teacher do if a parent calls to school and says that his child is being bullied?

find out who's bullying the child and talk to them. if a preschool/kindergarden thing give the bully a time out. If it's a grade school bully, send them to the principle. if it's a middle school bully then send them to the principle and give them detention/consider suspension. If it's a high school bully then take them to the principle then suspend them or consider expulsion. But for any case, talk to the bully privately, then talk to the parents. And watch out for the kid being bullied. And reasure the parent of the kid being bullied that his/her kid is safe. :)What should a teacher do if a parent calls to school and says that his child is being bullied?
the teacher should use this as a reason to have a meaningful discussion with the class about bulllying, including what to do if you are the victim. it should be kept very general and the student whose parent made the call should NOT be named, nor should the bully, at least during this discussion. the teacher may feel that she should pull the 2 aside for a private discussion or send both to the principal, but it isn't up to the teacher to solve the issue.
