If I, as a mother of a child wants to move to another province without the consent of the other parent?

I want to move with my daughter to the western part of Canada..the child's father who has joint custody is saying no to the idea. What can I do legally without having to go to court to solve this issue?If I, as a mother of a child wants to move to another province without the consent of the other parent?
My sister's boyfriend has joint custody of his son and his ex-wife took him and moved to BC. Nothing legally happened to her and his access times were changed. Now rather than Thursday afternoon to Monday noon he has a three day weekend a month, 2 weeks in Decemeber, 2 weeks in April and the whole summer minus a three day weekend in each month. That was in Calgary.





A friend of mine in Hull was told that another parent can not block a move but access times had to be arranged before the move. If the other party was uncooperative then ';maintenance'; would decide on their behalf. Luckily in her case though the father renounced all his parental rights.

There is nothing you can do legally without his consent and/ or going to court.
that would be kidnapping. you have to get the other parent to sign something saying that it is okay with them.
