What are some good baby-friendly places to go to celebrate a parent's birthday?

Friendly's :)What are some good baby-friendly places to go to celebrate a parent's birthday?
The park, a restaurant, or even the zoo. Anywhere you and the child can have a save and fun eviromentWhat are some good baby-friendly places to go to celebrate a parent's birthday?
I'm gonna be ripped apart for this one -- :)

My birthday is coming up next week -- I have a 6 month old, and we are going to a tattoo parlor in the morning for me to get my very first tattoo -- not exactly the most baby -friendly place, but I know the people there, and its a nice clean place.

Then off to the wildlife park and for a picnic.
i would go to a park or the wild life park or even if its over the weekend pack the car up and go camping if weather if permiting. and bring close family mebers and have fun there.
Depending on time of year/location, have a family bbq at a park
A friend of ours turned 25 and celebrated his birthday with his 2 yr old son at chuckie cheese but i think thats corny!!! I say try a park or pool or have a cook out in the backyard and let the kids play in the sprinklers or toys outside! thats what we will do, just be sure to invite kids for him to play with!
I had a very ';good'; baby, so we always just went out to eat. Chilli's is one chain I know of that's VERY baby friendly. They even have these little stands that you can set a carseat in if you child is young enough to still be in a carrier. Almost any casual dining place, however, will accomodate children.

On the other hand, sometimes just good plain fun at home is best. Decorate the house and bake a birthday cake. I think it's very important to have cakes for EVERYONE's birthday (even grown ups) for the first few years of a baby's life so that they get used to the tradition, and understand that EVERYONE has a birthday - not just them. It helps to keep them from getting jealous at birthday parties for friends later in the pre-school years.

If you can't get a sitter to let you and hubby go have a romantic evening out, then consider rescheduling the birthday dinner to a birthday lunch! You can go to almost any restaurant at lunch time and not have trouble with bringing a baby along. Lunch is almost always noisier, so it'll be more interesting for baby, and also help cover any noises you own child will inevitably make. Then you can go to a matinee movie. I know what you're thinking - babies in a theater, AWFUL. It's really not however, not for many kids. My own son sat through Star Wars when he was only about a year old - and we had no problems. The key is to go to a matinee and see something that is ';family friendly';. If you go in the mid-afternoon, just after lunch, then likely a young baby will sleep through most of it. The older ones will also be in a happy mood, and in a family-friendly matinee movie, perfect quiet is not required. He can laugh at the movie, and watch it on the screen. Even young toddlers often like to watch the big screen, regardless of whether or not they understand.

Well, I hope you have a happy birthday!
