What kind of a Parent makes their children wonder as to whether or not they even exist?

Maybe the kind that is used to explain the unexplainable and keep the population under control. What kind of a Parent makes their children wonder as to whether or not they even exist?
There are worse things a parent can do, like convince their child that they will go to hell for reading a harmless book, or holding hands with another child, or talking to someone outside their church. Or parents (thinking of the the Westbro Baptist Church here) who force their young children into holding signs promoting homophobic beliefs and extremist values. These children wern't even allowed friends unless it led to sex.

Many people are not cut out to be parents and would do a very bad job of it.

Their only redeeming quality is that they realize it.

So they put the child up for adoption and the child then finds people who really want to have a child. Then they proceed to spoil them rotten so when they grown up they are hardly grateful or say thank you.

They just agonize over the fact that their parents didn't want them.

So it is a loose situation all the way around. to bad they cannot just accept that someone did want them and be glad about that.
First, it is a myth to believe we are ';all God's children';. The bible says in Romans 8 that believers are adopted into the family of God. If you are adopted, you know you have parents.

I never did meet my biological father, but OBVIOUSLY I had one. I hope that answers both your ';literal'; question and the ';metaphysical'; question behind it.
i don't get it haha. parents who leave? idk, you'd have to be stupid to think you only have one parent. unless you're a test tube baby or something...
When that question popped into your head it probably made sense.
