Is it fair that the biggest factor in infant survival is the parent income ?

like the more richer you are the less likely your child is to die. Is it fair that the biggest factor in infant survival is the parent income ?
No, it isn't. And for all of the people who simply replied that 'breeders just shouldn't breed', grow a heart. Look, I understand that the majority of everything you said is true. People shouldnt be having babies if they are unable to support them. But the question is, 'should that human life be relegated to death simply because they're idiot parent couldn't afford the necessities to sustain it?' I think not. If you can honestly say that if you had the opportunity to save a life by making a financial sacrifice, ie, one less dvd, a little less luxury in your life, that you wouldnt, then your a piece of sh*t. (Now dont take this out of context, Im fully aware that most dont live luxurious standards of life, I simply mean one less luxury in the sense of something you dont need, in other words, most of the shi t people buy these days.) I mean, think of a loved one, now lets say their only chance of living depended on a financial contribution from an outside source. Wouldn't you want somebody to help your loved one? Now I know that this is all speculative and hypothetical, but the question was whether or not infancy death rates being higher among lower income peoples is fair. The answer is no, it isnt. But too many people dont care whether its fair or not. The only thing they care about is whether or not they can buy their next 'thing' or take their next vacation, or whether or not their car is up to the social standard. I know I sound like a socialist, and that Im guilty of some of, if not most of the behaviors listed above, but hey, its true.Is it fair that the biggest factor in infant survival is the parent income ?
With the population explosion, people should first evaluate if they can even afford to procreate. Those who cannot afford it, should refrain, and not burden the public with supporting children they cannot. There are too many breeders running around, and while no one can deny the tragedy of infant death, adults need to be more responsible. So, no it isn't fair, but life isn't fair.
Fact of life, because if lower income parents are also less well educated it is inevitable ,sorry, but it can always be down to the way that people live their lives- in the 1930 era people were better educated by example of their peers but today most people are just selfish.
I agree.

The concept of 'fairness' is entirely irrelevant here: life is not fair.

It has always been thus, and will continue to be so.

The children of the poor will always be more likely to die than the children of the rich, for obvious reasons.
