I'm 14 years old and have been looking up information on Belly Button Piercings. Ive Read All that Ive Found and I would love to have one. I've been thinking about it for a While Now and am sure that I won't regret it. I asked my mom and dad about it but they instantly said no and won't here me out.
What are your opinions on Belly Button Piercings and how would you explain to your parents how there not that bad ?What Are Parent's Opinions on Belly Button Piercings?
You're 14 and you're worried about whether you're getting your belly button pierced or not.
lol. What Are Parent's Opinions on Belly Button Piercings?
As a parent of a 16 year old daughter who recently got hers pierced again (it got infected the first time). I still don't like it. The reason is because of how society portrays girls with these types of piercings and we don't want our daughters to be labeled negatively either. I think that you should ask a doctor's opinion on them first before making up your mind completely. Some piercings do have adverse side effects that are now just coming to light. I am not just saying that to scare you either, I was told this by our family physician. My daughter can legally get this done at 16 in our state w/o the parents ok and that is how she did it this time. It is also crooked and so she will either have to put up with that or get it done again. She said the 2nd time hurt a lot more then the 1st. Whatever you do, don't go behind your parent's backs and do it. That would be a really dumb way to lose their trust, don't you think?
my mum was fine with me having one. i loved mine, but i had to take it out because it got infected and now i have a scar. so thats not so good.
but yeah, they are one of the nicest piercings you can have :) just persuade your mum and dad, and if they say no, get it done anyway?
My mom was cool with it. It's not in a visible place (only if you want to make it visible) So I don't really see what the big problem is.
just say you will do anything to have one, or ask them for your birthday, or just wait till you're 16, or 18.
