If a parent is on disability, can their teen get a job?

My mother says that the social security offices told her that my brother and I aren't able to get jobs because she's on social security. I'm not sure if she misunderstood or what (she's slightly dense). Anyway, I was just wondering if anyone knew anything about the subject.If a parent is on disability, can their teen get a job?

It would be unusual for the total welfare check to be cancelled, but if she was getting a child allowance and you were earning enough to live, that allowance should be withdrawn.
